About Us

Wat and Poh live in a small Karen village in the Mae Wang district in Northern Thailand.
They have two sons aged 14 years and 9 years.
Wat and Poh's extended family also help out on the farm, including Poh's brother Lek.
Wat works on the family farm and is also a local trekking guide.
Poh works on the family farm and is skilled at Karen weaving.
Wat and Poh grow a variety of fruits and vegetables on their farm including:
Bok Choi
Banana
Green Beans
Pineapple
Chilli
Longan
Mango
Passion Fruit
Peanuts
Sugar Cane
Papaya
Lemongrass
They also grow 100% of their own rice.
There are many waterfalls and trekking trails close to the home and you are welcome to explore the surrounding Karen villages.
All of the bungalows at Wat and Poh's Jungle Village are hand crafted by Wat and the volunteers using locally sourced bamboo and timber.
